Living in Los Angeles, I’ve noticed that dating here really depends on the circles you’re in.
There’s definitely some truth to the idea that LA can feel a bit superficial at times, especially in areas where image and lifestyle are a big focus. But at the same time, I’ve met genuinely interesting and kind people here too.
One thing that stands out is how spread out the city is. Distance can actually become a factor in dating — if someone lives on the other side of LA, it can be difficult to meet regularly.
Overall, I’d say dating in Los Angeles requires a bit more effort, but if you find the right person, it can still be meaningful.
I also think there’s a different kind of confidence that comes with dating at this age.
You know who you are, what you’ve been through, and what you deserve. That makes it easier to walk away from situations that don’t feel right.
At the same time, it makes the right connection feel even more meaningful.
