I’ve been dating in New York City for a few years now, and it’s honestly a mix of excitement and frustration.
On one hand, you have access to so many people from different backgrounds, which is something I really enjoy. You can go on a date in Brooklyn one night and meet someone completely different in Manhattan the next. There’s always something happening, so it never feels boring.
But at the same time, the fast pace of NYC dating can make it hard to build something real. People are busy, always moving, and sometimes it feels like everyone is keeping their options open. I’ve had situations where things were going well, but then the person just disappeared or lost interest out of nowhere.
I think dating in New York works best if you stay patient and don’t take things too personally.
